cement manufacturing process

cement manufacturing process

Two methods are used in Portland cement production.

Wet Process
Dry process
Apart from these two, we also use semidry process. In which water mixes 10% to 14%. While wet process is done to make slury, water from 35% to 50% is mixed. Both methods of cement production are almost identical. The only difference is that in the wet process, in the form of slurry and in dry process, it is sent as a powder in the kiln.

In India, most cement factories adopt wet process in the year. But now being made that cement factory, they dry process is bringing into use, and being expected, the old Faktriya also begin to use the Dry process except wet process because the fuel problem and his Mahgai Looking at Dry process is a good choice. Because the fuel consumption is low in the dry process.

(In the dry process process, 1 ton of cement is made to produce 100 kg of coal, while wet processing takes 385 kg of coal.)

1. Wet Process: -

The limestone and the mantrika are first obtained from the quarries.
Limestone is broken into small pieces (25mm) using crusher. Similarly, the asteroid is washed and cleaned in wash mill. Then both materials are stored in separate storage basins.
Limestone (65%) and clay (35%) combined and enough water mix (35 to 50%) is grinding in wet grinding mill. The solution that grows on grinding is called slurry.
After this the chemical examination of the slurry is done and the component of which the component is found less than the determination is mixed separately in the form of matter. Manufacturing of portland cement wet process flow diagram
Now the checked slurry is sent to the rotary kiln by the pump. Increasing heat (250 to 1700 ℃) within the furnace and with the help of hot gases, the clinker is converted. Clinker measurements range from 5 mm to 10 mm.
Clinker has to be cooled before milling the clinker. For this, it is taken to the cooling unit. There is a thick chain of iron in it. Which absorbs the heat of clinkers.
Now the clinker clinker is done in the grinding ball mill. When grinding the cement, it is mixed with 2 to 5% gypsum. It acts as a condenser. The cement gets very fine, the more the strength of the cement it will be. Cement should be passed by 90 sq.m. sieve.
After grinding, the cement is filled in 50 kg of boro. On large construction works, instead of the boro, the cement is filled in the tankers.

Dry process: -
In Dry Process and sami dry process Raw material is dry ground in the mill grinding in the right proportion to crush in a dry state. Compressed air is used to combine them, in this way the airated powder is found to be completely interconnected.

The process after this is similar to the dry process.
